Founded in the year 1994 CompuHigh Online High School is the world’s first self proclaimed online school for higher education. CampuHigh Online High School has as many as 38 courses to offer across two major streams: Science and Humanities and also physical education to some extent. Students can either opt for full degree courses or just diplomas the only constraint being that they must be opting for courses of classes IX to XII. In fact CampuHigh Online High School is known for adults as old as 21 to have opted for diploma courses from this high school. Now this is something seriously to boast about.

The diploma CampuHigh Online High School is nationally accredited and operating Whitmore School. Besides there are two diploma courses in the offering which include:

General studies requiring 18 credits for graduation

College Preparation requiring 22 credits for graduation

CampuHigh Online High School boasts of accreditation by the North Central Association and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (although both are merely regional accreditors) besides the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation.

A student can enroll at CompuHigh Online High School around the year and it only takes at most 24 hrs for the admission to be processed and finalized. One can join the school any time. Even better, credits from previous courses at other schools can be carried over however there are some restrictions stringed to it.

CampuHigh Online High School is probably one of the cheaper schools when it comes to tuition fees. The diploma program whether it is for General Studies or College Preparation costs as little as 985 USD annually and covers as many as eight credits. However there is an even more exhaustive program by the name of Diploma Plus which offers additional services which include educational counseling and even weekly progress reports for the parents which costs as much as 1485 USD annually. The hike in price for the Diploma Plus course does not really seem justified. However if you are really interested in it, the price is not that high either. Individual courses at CompuHigh Online High School cost only 275 USD which is really very nominal and the flat rate for adult education programs are fixed at 985 USD. These tuition fees cover all expenses of textbooks and the like saving you a hefty sum.

The online course interface has a rather informal yet conversational tone which uses simple text layouts and navigation techniques. However as a major drawback there are no graphics or photos or any attractive symbol to further make education at this school more interesting. The demos are free to be viewed by anybody anytime. However one good thing that I must mention about CompuHigh Online High School is that each course has its own teacher and students can directly approach the teachers through email and the response period is usually around 48 hours or less.

An interesting fact regarding CompuHigh Online High School is that the school holds a proper graduation ceremony at its West Virginia head quarters each June besides the online ones in January and August for students who are graduating anytime that year.
